This Blog

The purpose of this blog is to collect and organise information and images pertaining to, what I am calling organic modernism.

I have not yet found any other reference to this term so I am defining Organic Modernism as a style of design which derives structural form from organic examples. Organic Modernism conforms to the modernist vernacular in that it shuns the use of disingenuous ornamentation preferring instead to draw aesthetic pleasure from the structural form. It varies form pure modernism as structures adopt an organic from drawing from nature and biomimicry for inspiration.

Below are some Architects an d designers who I believe are practitioners of Organic Modernism.
